SETH BUHLER'S EIGHTH BIRTHDAY: Friday, January 24, 2014

Our grandson, Seth Buhler, turns eight years old on January 24, 2014.  Gary and Rhonda are set to leave home by 8:00 am on the 24th, to begin the 3 1/2-hour drive to the Buhler's -- but wake up to traffic advisories following an overnight ice storm. We had hoped to make it to Frisco in time for lunch at Seth's school.  By 10:30 am, the highway seems clear enough to begin our trip to Frisco -- a northern suburb of Dallas.  We arrive too late for lunch, but just in time for Seth's birthday party.  Seth and his friends enjoy playing video games, then Kristen serves a yummy pizza dinner to family and party guests -- many of whom have already pigged out on Valentine hearts and M&Ms.

Time to blow out candles.  Hopefully, all Seth's birthday wishes will come true!
After all of his friends depart, Seth and family head to the local Cinemark to see "Frozen" -- a most appropriate movie on such a freezing cold, wintry night!

SETH BUHLER'S BAPTISM: Saturday, January 25, 2014

Seth is baptized and confirmed by his father Aaron Buhler at the Frisco Stake Center in Frisco, Texas, on the morning of Saturday, January 25, 2014.  Speakers include Seth's grandmother, Yvonne Buhler, and his grandfather, Gary Williams.  Testimonies are given by Seth's mom Kristen, his grandmother, Rhonda Williams, and his grandfather, Randy Buhler.  Brothers Kyle, Parker and Justin perform a beautiful rendition of the song "Baptism."

Following Seth's baptism, we enjoy lunch at the Great Wall Buffet.  We eat until we are more than full, then head for the dessert table!

After leaving the buffet, we head to a nearby park to walk off some overindulgence!

We leave the park for Seth's basketball game, where his team fights hard to overcome a much larger, more seasoned group of boys.  Following the game, we head back to the Buhler's for a chicken dinner, then watch the movie "Croods" on Netflix.  It's been an important, memorable day -- not only for Seth, but for all who know and love him!  (Of course, to know Seth IS to love him!)
