Kristen, Aaron and boys arrive in College Station late Tuesday evening, November 25th, to spend Thanksgiving week with us. It's always such fun to be with the Buhlers! We leave the house early Wednesday morning to see "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One." Afterward, we wait in line at over-crowded Fuego's to grab lunch. (College Station is
teeming with Missouri fans, in town for their football team's
Thanksgiving showdown with Texas A&M.) After lunch, we kill time testing cologne at Kohl's and selecting movie candy at Dollar Tree before taking in our second movie of the day -- "Interstellar" starring Matthew McConaughhey and Anne Hathaway.
Besides yummy turkey with trimmings on Thanksgiving, we also enjoy playing board games and watching football (although A&M doesn't provide enough competition for Missouri).

While Kristen and Aaron do some early "Black Friday" shopping at Target on Thanksgiving night, Gary, Rhonda and boys play Wits and Wagers. Once the shoppers return, it's back to playing one of our family's favorite games, True Colors.
On Friday, we caravan to Galveston to see the Festival of Lights at Moody Gardens, a new Gary and Rhonda tradition. There's still plenty of time before dark to see the IMAX 3D feature, "Titans of the Ice Age." We kill a little more daylight in the gift shop, then venture outside at dusk to sit on a rock wall, instead of getting in line for the Festival of Lights. By the time we finally join the line, it stretches for blocks and blocks... However, the line moves fast. Here are some photos of our magical night at Moody Garden's Festival of Lights...

We spend Friday night at the SpringHill Suites near NASA. Following the hotel breakfast on Saturday morning, we return to Galveston for a day of fun. We visit the Strand, Galveston Pier and the beach before returning to College Station on Saturday evening.

We love spending time with our family! We're always so happy when our kids come ... then so sad when they leave. The Buhlers attend Navasota Branch with us on Sunday morning, eat Thanksgiving leftovers with us for linner/dunch on Sunday afternoon, then head home to Frisco on Sunday evening.
Thanks, Buhlers, for sharing your Thanksgiving time with us. We love each of you and cannot wait to see you for Christmas!
