Kyle and Parker Buhlers' visit to Texas was originally scheduled for early July. Their trip was postponed until mid August following the heart surgery of Rhonda's father, Ron Millett, in Provo, Utah on June 29. After spending six weeks in Utah, Rhonda flew from Salt Lake to Houston on August 10, arriving at Bush Intercontinental at 10:00 p.m. BUT, Kyle and Parker beat Grandma to Houston. They flew from Fort Lauderdale, Florida that same evening, arriving at Houston Hobby Airport at 6:40 p.m. Grandpa Gary made the pick ups at the two airports, crossing the busy metropolitan area twice that evening! (Incidentally, he was driving the Suburban, which was overheating badly during this effort...) It was most wonderful to greet Kyle and Parker in Houston. We love these two cute boys with all our hearts!
After a 10:50 p.m. dinner at Taco Bell, we spent the night at Town Place Suites near Bush Intercontinental--our first of seven nights in three Marriott hotels in Houston and San Antonio. Our great adventure with sweet Kyle and Parker had finally begun!!
