After packing the previous evening for our flight home, we enjoyed the beautiful morning at the super cute Village of Baytowne Wharf. Many of the shops, activities and restaurants seemed to be closed for the morning, but we enjoyed tooling through the village and walking the pier into the bay.
We began our afternoon drive from Destin to Pensacola by crossing the Mid-Bay Bridge to the mainland. We stopped at Ruby Tuesday's in Niceville (adjacent to Eglin Air Force Base) for a yummy lunch. Then we cut inland, driving to Pensacola via I-10. Our flight from Pensacola to Houston was on time, smooth and uneventful. Our home was as we had left it, safe from any harm or incident.
