Julie and Spencer kindly invite Rhonda to join their 2011 spring break fun in southern California. Julie spares Rhonda from the work and worry of planning an itinerary. It is wonderful to be a follower for four fun-filled days--no thinking required! Thanks to Julie's plan, we are able to do everything we want to do and to see everything we want to see, in spite of the heavy Easter crowds!
Julie and Spencer fly from Detroit to LAX on April 18, 2011. Rhonda flies from Houston to LAX that same afternoon. Each flight arrives around 7:30 p.m. at Terminal 6, just a few gates apart. When luggage is retrieved and a rental car is secured, we hit the L.A. freeways, bound for Anaheim. Unlike Rhonda, Julie is a fearless freeway driver! She knows her way to the In and Out Burger nearest our hotel. After enjoying delicious burgers, fries and shakes, we also stop at a nearby grocery store to purchase breakfast items. Our Fairfield Inn, just across Harbor Boulevard from Disneyland, does not provide breakfast.
Once we check into the hotel and unpack, we are pooped. By this time, it is 2:00 a.m. in Michigan and 1:00 a.m. in Texas. We hit the sack to rest up for the four big days ahead.
