Our Christmas Eve in Coral Springs includes a visit to Santa at the mall, just before poor Kyle has a tooth pulled at the orthodontist. Kyle still feels well enough for lunch at the food court. That afternoon, on Rhonda's recommendation, we see the movie, Arthur Christmas. Somehow Kristen manages to do all this in addition to preparing an amazing Christmas Eve party spread. While eating these delicious treats, we watch Michael Caine and Kermit star in Muppets Christmas Carol, a family favorite.
It is tradition for each of the Buhler boys to open a Christmas tree ornament on Christmas Eve. Each of us also open one gift -- a pair of Christmas PJs! We don our new pajamas for the family Christmas program, a reading of the events leading up to Christ's birth, interspersed with Christmas hymns. Then we sing favorite Christmas songs. After a long day, the boys head for bed, with high hopes that Santa will visit them with gifts during the night...
