We had already explored beaches from Destin eastward to Panama City the previous Saturday, so we decided to beach hop from Destin westward to Pensacola. This was a most enjoyable day, full of fun discoveries. We did see some crews scouring beaches along Gulf Shores National Beach Park at the end of Navarre Island. By in large, however, we saw very little evidence of the massive BP oil spill that we had heard so much about. The sand seemed pristine and the water along the beach was crystal clear. Another perfectly gorgeous day!
