Ron, Julie, Kimberly and Gary M. had never seen Tulum, the amazing Mayan ruins along the Mexican coastline of the Yucatan Peninsula. Their visit required a 45-minute ferry ride plus an hour-long bus ride--not to mention the equally-long return trip. But our group seemed to think this was well worth the time and effort. Tulum is a spectacular place in an unbelievably gorgeous setting. This excursion returned late to the port of Cozumel but Liberty of the Seas waited to set sail until all had come aboard as, luckily, the trip had been booked through Royal Caribbean cruise excursions. Others in our party who had taken a separate excursion and returned to the ship earlier, were biting nails until they knew all family members were safely onboard!
