Sunday, May 30, 2010: We Return to the Port of Miami

Sadly, our cruise came to an end one week after we set sail. We met for a family breakfast in the Windjammer Cafe, then waited in the Platinum Theater until our group was called to disembark Liberty of the Seas. Once our luggage was collected from the carousel, we gathered at the curb outside the cruise terminal where Kristen's family arrived in a big rental van to pick us up. With thirteen people and at least as many pieces of luggage, it was one tight fit (even in a commercial-sized van) for the trip back to the airport in Fort Lauderdale.

We had an amazing time cruising and exploring four ports together. We would recommend this as an excellent option for a family vacation or reunion. While Rhonda worried that Liberty of the Seas might be too big to walk around or might be overcrowded with so many passengers, there were no such problems. We were able to get around easily and took full advantage of all resources, facilities and venues without difficulty.

While this cruise came to an end, these memories will endure. We are most thankful for our dear husband and father, Gary W. Williams. He continues to be a wonderful example to us in so many ways. We have witnessed his great faith, testimony and leadership through example. We are grateful to be the recipients of his enduring and unconditional love. He has been tireless in his efforts to provide for us physically, emotionally and spiritually and to keep us on the straight and narrow. He has endeared himself to each member of our family through his unique humor and sense of fun. We love him more than we can adequately express here. We are grateful for his sixty years on this earth. We pray that he will be with us for MANY, MANY MORE -- then throughout eternity. WE LOVE YOU, GARY!
