All good things come to an end much too soon. Faster than we can believe, the Celebrity Constellation has completed our long-awaited, 12-day cruise. While Bruce and Jan spend a final night in Amsterdam before flying home to Texas, the Carrs celebrate Bob's 59th birthday aboard a scenic train ride to Munich. Gary and Rhonda catch Celebrity's transfer from the pier to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, then fly through London to Munich. (Bob and Christine, who lived in Germany during the early 1980s while Bob worked as an army physician, have generously offered to serve as guides for our three-day tour of Bavaria!) Upon arrival in Munich, Bob and Chris have time to secure a rental car at the train station and check into our rooms at the Munich Renaissance, before picking up Gary and Rhonda at the airport. Together we enjoy a late dinner at a Biergarten restaurant just a few blocks from our hotel.
