During our visit to the Columbus area, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express near Kim's home. Julie's family, Ron and Gary M. also had rooms there. We met each morning in the breakfast room. The Empeys and Browns joined us there, as well. Breakfast at Holiday Inn was a festive time for the grandkids, whose stomachs proved to be bottomless pits.
The main event on Monday, December 28th, was bowling--one of Carter's favorite activities. Gary and Rhonda always take Carter bowling whenever we get together. There were so many in our group that we needed three lanes--including one alley with bumper pads for the children. We managed two full games, hurrying through the final game before our 90-minute time limit expired. Some in our group were disappointed with their scores, while others excelled. No matter what the score--fun was had by all.
That evening all the children went swimming in the pool at the Holiday Inn. Great times!
