On Monday, Kristen took us to the beautiful beach in Fort Lauderdale. Sadly, due to the unusually cold weather, our swimwear, capris and tropical shirts remained packed in the bottoms of our suitcases. Instead, we wore coats and sweatshirts. Although the air was chilly, the sky was the most vivid shade of clear blue. We walked along the sand, braved wind chill, chased birds, enjoyed the play equipment and basically owned this lovely stretch of beach for awhile. When our tummies began to rumble, we hopped over to the Cheesecake Factory for a delicious lunch, followed by a slice of heaven! Then it was off to the marina for a three-hour cruise...
